The Narva Battery & Starter Cable 140A 14mm x 2m Red is a 2 metre automotive battery lead for wiring dual battery systems, starter circuits and general 12 volt automotive electrical runs. It carries a peak current rating of 140A for up to 5 minutes at a 60% duty cycle, with a maximum continuous rating of 103A at 30°C ambient temperature. Performance can reduce at higher ambient temperatures or when multiple cables are run bundled together.
This battery cable has a 14mm² conductor cross-sectional area and is finished in red for circuit identification. Automotive battery cable of this size is not equivalent to 240V electrical cable of the same diameter, as current and insulation ratings differ significantly between the two cable types.
