The Tridon thermostat in housing TT725-221K is a complete alloy upgrade kit for vehicles originally fitted with a plastic OEM thermostat housing. The assembly replaces the entire housing, upper and lower sections included, along with the integrated bypass-style thermostat, both sensors, and a thermostat gasket, so the repair can be completed without sourcing additional parts. The thermostat opens at 105°C to regulate coolant flow to the radiator and maintain correct engine operating temperature.
Upgrading from the plastic OEM unit to an all-alloy housing reduces the risk of heat-related cracking and warping that can cause coolant leaks over time.
