The ToolPRO Professional Angled Timing Light is an essential diagnostic tool for setting ignition timing on 12-volt negative-ground vehicles with gasoline engines, particularly 4-stroke engines and those equipped with DIS (distributor less ignition system). Correct timing is critical to engine efficiency and component longevity; a timing light ensures the ignition timing aligns perfectly after any distributor removal or repair.
The tool measures voltage (10–16 volts DC with +/−1% accuracy), advance angle (0–90 degrees for 2 and 4-cycle DIS and conventional systems with +/−0.5% accuracy), tachometer (249–9,990 RPM with +/−1% accuracy) and dwell angle (0–180 degrees for 2–12 cylinders with +/−1% accuracy). An adjustable angle swivel head directs light precisely at the timing mark, while a protective hand guard keeps fingers clear of hot engine components. Digital readout with backlight makes all readings easy to read in any engine bay, and the custom moulded storage case organises and protects the tool when not in use.
