The ToolPRO Compression Tester diagnoses engine compression issues by measuring the exact pressure your cylinders produce during cranking. Compression is essential for efficient combustion, and a loss of compression due to worn piston rings, valve leakage or head gasket failure shows up immediately as uneven readings between cylinders or against factory service manual specifications.
The large dual-scale gauge displays pressure in both PSI (0–300) and kPa (0–2000) for clear readings. Supplied fittings thread into most vehicles' spark plug holes: use the 14mm or 14mm deep fitting for standard engines, or the 18mm fitting where required. Peak pressure memory with a thumb-button air release lets one operator run the test without a second person watching the gauge, making diagnosis faster and simpler.
