The Toledo Gas Strut Support Tool holds worn gas struts in the extended position while you work under a bonnet or in a boot. It clamps and locks onto the shaft of the strut, a job sometimes called a gas strut clamp, so the panel stays supported on bonnets, boots and hatchbacks while your hands are free to complete the service.
An alloy body and brass screw with a rubber tip grip the shaft firmly while a plastic moulded end cap reduces the chance of scoring or marking the steel strut shaft during use. A bright yellow safety tag hangs from the tool as a reminder to remove it before closing the bonnet or boot.
