The ToolPRO Outside Micrometer precisely measures the thickness of cylindrical, spherical and flat objects such as brake rotors to an accuracy of 0.01mm across a 0–25mm range. Sleeve markings divided into 0.50mm increments and thimble markings into 0.01mm divisions make reading fast and accurate, so you can verify brake rotor wear, measure component dimensions, or gauge sheet metal thickness with confidence.
A ratchet mechanism at the end of the spindle ensures constant measuring force. When it clicks, the spindle is closed with the correct pressure every time, eliminating guesswork. A locking lever on the side of the frame holds the spindle in place after measurement so you can remove the micrometer and read the result safely without losing your grip. Before taking your first measurement, gently close the micrometer on a clean piece of paper to clean the measuring faces, then use the included wrench to adjust the zero line on the sleeve if needed. A drop of machine oil on the spindle once in a while keeps everything running smoothly, and the nifty storage case protects the micrometer from knocks between jobs.
