The robust construction includes a spiral-wound perforated metal centre tube that distributes pressure evenly and prevents the element from collapsing under load. A high-grade steel housing, manufactured using a draw and iron process, increases tensile strength by approximately 20%, while the 4mm base plate provides one of the highest burst pressure rates in the world. An AEM gasket creates a secure, heat and oil resistant seal between the filter and engine block, and a premium silicon anti-drain back seal prevents oil drain-back during shutdown. Interchangeable with Z443.
