The Gulf Western Automatic Transmission Fluid DX-3 4L is a multi-vehicle automatic transmission fluid for older model vehicles and equipment calling for a DX-3 or DX-2 type fluid. It meets DX-3, DX-2, Allison C4, Caterpillar TO-2, Chrysler ATF+4, Ford Mercon, Mercon V, JASO M315 Type 1A, Nissan Matic D and Toyota T-IV specifications, with a shear stable formulation that offers enhanced viscosity control and anti-shudder protection throughout the drain interval.
In everyday use the fluid gives smooth cold shifts thanks to improved low temperature properties, and it retains its frictional coefficient for consistently smooth gear changes over the life of the fill.
