The Gulf Western Gear Lube 80W-90 4 Litre is a multipurpose, shear stable gear oil built with sulphur phosphorus extreme pressure technology. It meets API GL-4 and GL-5 performance levels and suits gear boxes, manual transmissions, final drives, hubs and transfer cases across automotive, transport, mining, earthmoving and agricultural equipment.
In service, the extreme pressure additives carry high loads without breaking down, minimising scuffing, welding and galling on helical, spiral bevel and hypoid gear teeth under severe load. Its multigrade 80W-90 viscosity maintains wear protection over a wide temperature range and reduces drag at start up, removing the need for seasonal oil changes.
Gulf Western Gear Lube 80W-90 suits manual transmissions and vehicle axles meeting MIL-L-2105D, Mack GO-H, Rockwell and Eaton requirements, but it is not suitable for limited slip differentials, which need a friction-modified gear oil instead.
