The Aerpro Steering Wheel Control Harness to suit Proton Gen2 (2005-2010) CHPT2C allows you to upgrade to an aftermarket headunit while keeping your factory steering wheel controls. It includes a harness fitted with a vehicle specific plug that connects directly into the existing wiring in Proton Gen2 (2005-2010) models, so no cutting of the factory wiring harness is required. Keeping the original steering wheel controls active lets you keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road while operating audio and other functions.
This steering wheel control interface requires a separate SWC patch lead to enable the steering wheel controls to function with the aftermarket headunit, and the aftermarket headunit itself must be SWC compatible. Installation is simplified further when paired with the optional Aerpro APP9 Headunit Secondary ISO Harness & SWC Patch Lead, which connects between the headunit and this interface. If the steering wheel controls operate backwards once installed, reversing the bullet terminals corrects this.
