The Bowden's Own Vinyl Revival Exterior Protectant 500mL is an advanced, water-based vinyl and plastic protectant designed to revive and defend exterior trim against Australia's harsh UV rays. Vinyl Revival's UV-blocking formula stops yellowing, greying, chalking and cracking, the premature ageing that shortens the life of ute tonneaus, vinyl roofs, rubber mats, motorbike seats, boat seats and black plastic trim. Unlike silicone or oil-based dressings, the silicone and solvent-free formulation breathes with the surface so heat cannot build up and accelerate deterioration.
The mid-sheen finish is non-greasy and non-slippery, and once cured after 3–4 hours it will not run or streak black lines onto painted panels in rain. Vinyl Revival is also pH neutral, making it safe for long-term use on stitching as well as hard surfaces. The formula bonds to exterior rubbers, plastics and vinyls alike, including engine bay rubber hoses and plastics, for many months of durable protection from a single application. For best results, use Bowden's Own SubLime Clean to remove any old silicone-based dressings or oils before applying Vinyl Revival to a cool, dry surface in the shade.
