It’s ability to far exceed the maximum linear excursion of regular domed surround allows for beautifully pure sound and punchy bass. Large Magnet Structure The large strontium magnets housed on the back of M-Series speakers mean business. With large voice coils and Alpine’s patented HAMR Surround, they work together to enhance cone excursion and driver force, delivering louder and punchier bass. PP Woofer Cone The polypropylene (PP) woofer cone is light weight and provides excellent audio response with excellent power efficiency. This makes the SPU-690 the perfect solution for those who desire great sounding audio without the expense and complication of a high-power system.
