Skid Factory Project: 100 Series LandCruiser Sahara

This 2003 100 Series LandCruiser Sahara was originally destined for the wreckers. With a cooked engine, no brakes and a tired interior, it was in serious need of a second chance. Picked up from Marketplace, Woody set himself the challenge of a full transformation. In just a month, the Cruiser received a complete mechanical and cosmetic overhaul with the help of Supercheap Auto — turning a neglected wagon into a clean, well‑sorted touring rig.
From write‑off territory to properly sorted.
The project starts with a brutally honest assessment of the LandCruiser’s condition. The original 4.7L 2UZ‑FE V8 is beyond saving, the brakes are worn out, and the interior shows years of hard use. Rather than walking away, Woody commits to doing the job properly — replacing what’s worn, fixing what matters, and restoring the Cruiser from the ground up.
Watch the full Skid Factory LandCruiser rebuild
This build isn’t about shortcuts or quick fixes. It’s about doing things once and doing them right — refreshing tired components, upgrading where it counts, and ending up with a LandCruiser that drives as good as it looks. Proof that with the right parts, the right support and a clear plan, even a near‑write‑off can earn a new lease on life.
