Classed as a compact pickup truck the Mazda BT50 was released to the automotive market in 2006 as part of a Ford-Mazda partnership. In 2011 a major remodel was completed to differentiate itself from the Ford Ranger. Three trim level options were available including the XT; XTR and GT.
