DIY - Question

Spray a bit of life back into your car?

Question from J. Mendoza:

Hi my car paint is starting to fade around the roof area, and i was wondering if you could give me directions as to how to re-spray a bit of colour back into it. I looked at the colour card and found it to be blue metallic marseilles RTC 6400. Thanks.

Answer from Septone:

I would suggest that you try to rejuvenate the old faded paint work using Septone Mr Buff cutting compound and a polishing machine fitted with a lambswool buff pad then hand polishing the area with a polish prior to respraying.

If the paintwork does not respond to polishing and respraying is necessary, you will need to have the paint mixed and matched by a professional Auto Paint supplier. If necessary we can recommend a supplier close to you.

All of the preparation products can be purchased from any Supercheap Auto store. Septone's step by step paint repair video is available to be viewed on their website: http://www.septone.com.au this will assist you with all of the necessary steps required to respray the roof of the vehicle.
