Is this product for you?

Investing in the right compressor is very important, as it determines what tools and projects can be completed in your workshop. Thanks to the large 2.5HP belt driven motor, this compressor has the flexibility to take on projects in both the home, the shed, and the workshop. The glossy paintwork will not only ensure that this compressor looks smart in your workspace, but will also protect the large 50 litre steel tank.

How easy is it to use?

As with any compressor, there are a few extra accessories that would need to be obtained before work could commence. In this case, some SAE 30W or SAE 15W-40 lubricant will be required, as well as an air hose and the air tools you wish to use. With that out of the way, this item is very easy to operate, with a pair of gauges on the side to help you keep track of the pressure. Large all-terrain rear wheels allow this Blackridge compressor to be used in and out of the garage, and an easily detachable handle makes storage simple. A straightforward instruction manual is also provided with this compressor, to help you unlock its potential.

Where can you use it?

Powered by a large 2.5HP belt driven motor, this compressor is ideal for jobs requiring long duty cycles. The 155 Litres/min air delivery rate also makes this Blackridge compressor ideal for everything from tyre inflation, to air grinders and even gravity fed spray painting. The belt driven motor on this unit, also generally makes it quieter to operate than its direct driven counterparts, allowing the user to do some work in the shed, without disturbing the neighbours.

Reasons for order delays

  • Entry of an incorrect or incomplete address during checkout.
  • The address had no-one to sign for the parcel.
  • Incorrect payment information was entered against the order. Please double check all details at time of checkout as your order will only be created upon receipt of payment.
  • In the event an order is flagged for verification we may need to get in contact via phone before dispatching some orders. Personal details may need to be confirmed for fraud prevention if we are unable to verify the shipping destination to protect the card holder, and this may delay shipping.
  • Occasionally if a particular product is in high demand we may need to supply product from outside of our standard delivery network. This can cause delays in dispatch if orders are directed to regional locations etc.

If your order is not received within the quoted delivery period please check your order progress via our Track & Trace portal, alternatively contact our Customer Support Team on 0800 500 605 or complete our online enquiry form. We will generally respond to online enquiries within 24 hours.

Safey concerns
I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago. Have not used it much. Then I saw one of the reviews concerning the model with the red trim. I went and checked my model and it was the older model with the red trim. I was surprised to discover just how old this "2016" purchase really was when I saw the DOM was actually 2013-9-15!! At the time I did not consider looking at information such as the DOM. So this leads me to think that this may not have been a good purchase. I did not expect it to be this old when I purchased it - did not think the color meant anything until the review. It also explains why the box look so tattered, like it had been opened and resealed a few times. Before you buy one of these compressors - ask to check the DOM so that you don't get some really old machine like I did. Now I have to get this machine tested just to make sure the seals ain't going to pop on me.
Excellent Service
I've been buying a few items lately from different suppliers and Supercheap Autos friendly and helpful service has stood out as a cut above the rest. That goes for the five stores I have dealt with arould Auckland. I got this compressor a couple of weeks ago on special with the 50 piece tool kit. When I unpacked it I found it was an older stock item, Date Of Manufacture was Saturday 2015-1-10. The older ones appear to have red handles and wheel trim. The newer ones are yellow. The first thing I found was that the oil was over filled and looked dirty. No problem. I replaced the oil. The drain plug leaks slightly, but an O ring stopped that. One of the front feet was crushed a bit when it was packed. When I opened the drain valve blasting grit came out. It I tipped the end up it sounded like it had a handful of grit still in the tank. This unit worked for a few cycles and then started to trip the RCD. Must have developed a short in the motor or had a bad capacitor. I figured I'd got a bad one probably put together on Friday afternoon. You get that. I rang the service number about 10 days after I purchased it and they offered me the choice of a repair or replacement. The Mt Wellington store very conveniently sorted me out with a replacement model, the newer version with yellow trim, DOM 2016-9-5 a Monday and gave me a free litre or oil. This one appears to be built better and there is no grit in the tank. Oil was at the right level and is clean. Runs nice and quiet and I like the dual output. You can't fault the service or the value. This was the best value belt driven compressor I could find that runs on a standard 10A plug. I shopped around and when on special it is half the price of the next competitor. Just make sure you test it out properly and you are unlucky enough to get a bad one get it replaced in the first week.
Do Not Buy!
Seemed like a good deal, but it is very poor quality. Didn't last a year and not very good backup service unfortunately. Would not recommend.
Good solid compressor with guard around the belt drive for safety. My husband was very impressed and although he was looking for the Stanley compressor felt that this one ticks all the boxes. Very good value for money.
Good but
After assembling and run testing it, it seems to be a good one. The only thing you might want to be aware of is that none of your standard fittings bought from other shops will fit the fittings supplied with this compressor. Not a big deal to buy new fittings for it (I am hoping), but if you are expecting to use it straight of the box you will possibly be dissapointed.
